RivALZ

A young professional organization with one goal in mind: end Alzheimer's.

RivALZ  was created in the fall of 2005 by a group of young professional women in Washington, D.C. to raise awareness among their peers while also raising funds for the Alzheimer’s Association. Since that inaugural game, the event has successfully branched out to more than 40 additional cities, raising more than $5 million and bringing thousands of new supporters to the cause. RivALZ is a volunteer-driven flag football game for women that that brings the passion and spirit of young community leaders together to support the Alzheimer’s Association.

RivALZ Columbus is the signature fundraising event of the Junior Committee. In our ninth year, RivALZ continues to engage the community, raising over $217,083 to date. Our dedicated players, coaches, and volunteers are working hard to continue this momentum, making our 2018 game bigger and better than ever.

The funds raised through RivALZ benefit the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. We strive to:

  • Help families across the country by continuing to provide and enhance programs focusing on education and support.
  • Advance critical research studies into methods of treatment, prevention and ultimately, a cure.
  • Speak up for the needs and rights of those facing Alzheimer’s through our public policy initiatives.
